Hancom Group announces Hancom Works and Hancom Mail at AWS re:Invent 2020

December 18th, 2020 Hancom Group, a leader in South Korea ICT, actively participated in ‘AWS re:Invent 2020’ this year. For the first time in history, Amazon Web Services’ re:Invent conference went entirely virtual. Though re:Invent 2020 did not take place as an in-person event in Las Vegas, the virtual format offered a wide-ranging dynamic series of keynotes, product launches and training sessions between Nov. 30th and Dec. 18th.

Last year at AWS re:Invent 2019, Hancom introduced a full line of PC, mobile, and web-based office software solutions globally. In particular, Hancom announced the release of ‘Hancom Space’ which provides a collaborative workspace and Hancom Office for mobile use on smartphones and tablets along with Hancom Office on the desktop PC. Hancom Space was made generally available as a subscription service on the AWS Marketplace at AWS re:Invent 2019. Continuing the tradition, this year, Hancom announced two new professional-grade productivity solutions ‘Hancom Works’ and ‘Hancom Mail’. 

Hancom Works is an all-in-one solution that integrates the professional-grade office productivity tools of Hancom Office with the secure, globally-accessible Nextcloud Enterprise collaboration environment including real-time chat, video, mail, calendar and secure storage. Expected to be available in January 2021 through AWS Marketplace as a secure offering for enterprises and organizations, Hancom Works offers a private cloud option for those whose privacy concerns or regulatory constraints have until now been restricted from utilizing that latest public cloud-based offerings.

Hancom also announced ‘Hancom Mail’, an email and calendaring application that can be used in place of Outlook with Microsoft Exchange, Gmail, and other major email services. With the addition of Hancom Mail, available in January 2021, Hancom rounds out its professional-grade MS Office-compatible office productivity bundle and offers a viable alternative to the organization that is not satisfied with the other choices provided other vendors such as Microsoft and Google.
